Vijf jaar na de succesvolle eerste SEES.NL expeditie, willen we graag weer terug om de veranderingen vast te leggen. Het concept is net als in 2015. Allerlei wetenschappers aangevuld met toeristen. We hebben hulp nodig om dit mogelijk te maken. Geef je vrijblijvend op als wetenschapper, toerist of sponsor. Dan nemen we snel contact met je op.

Arctic Research Icebreaker Consortium (ARICE): ARICE CALL 2019: NOW OPEN

ARICE’s overall aim is to provide Europe with better capacities for marine-based research in the ice-covered Arctic Ocean with the existing polar fleet.

In this context, ARICE will provide researchers with transnational access to four European and two international research icebreakers.

• IB Oden, Sweden
• RV Kronprins Haakon, Norway
• MSV Fennica, Finland

ARICE2019 Call for Ship-time proposals - NOW OPEN!!

We are now inviting you to submit ship-time proposals requesting access to

MSV Fennica, RV Kronprins Haakon and IB Oden

to carry out ship-based research activities within any field of marine science in the Arctic Ocean

(restrictions may apply, check the specific access conditions for each vessel and vessel descriptions)

This call will remain open until the Wednesday 3rd of July 2019, 12:00 CEST.

Hurtigruten Elektrische Catamaran Voor Pool Excursies

Hurtigruten is van plan een stille elektrisch aangedreven en emissie vrije catamaran te bouwen voor excursies bij Svalbard. Het schip van 24 meter lang zal in Longyearbyen, Svalbard, gestationeerd worden. De batterij van het schip heeft genoeg capaciteit om 10 uur te varen met een snelheid van 10 knopen. In de zomer van 2020 zal het operationeel zijn.
